The girl that Kaname likes is rumored to be a menhera — a suicidal, mentally unstable woman with self-inflicted cuts all over her body. To be with her, he tells her a lie that leads her to believe that they are of the same kind. This is the story of a mentally ill girl and a boy who pretends to be mentally ill to stay by her side. Warning: graphic depictions of self-harm and mental illness, especially suicidal idealization.
